If becoming a professional pilot is your goal, earning your Certified Flight Instructor certificate is one of the most important steps in getting there.

At Take Flight Aviation, we’ve built our CFI program around more than earning another certificate. We’ve built a three-week program designed to prepare you to become a working flight instructor—with qualified graduates having the opportunity to move directly from our CFI program into a flight instructor position at Take Flight.

Three Weeks. One Plan. Your CFI.

Our CFI course isn’t a collection of lessons that gets scheduled as you go.

Before you arrive, we build out your entire three-week course of training. Your aircraft, instructors, training schedule, and checkride planning are coordinated in advance so that when the program begins, everyone knows the objective:

Get you prepared, get you through your checkride, and get you ready to instruct.

Having a plan matters—especially in an accelerated program.

✈️ Train in the DA20 or DA40 NG

Our CFI students have the flexibility to complete their primary flight training in either the Diamond DA20 or DA40 NG, allowing us to tailor the program to your experience and preferences.

Spin awareness and recovery training is completed in the DA20 as part of the CFI program.

You’ll train in modern Diamond Aircraft while developing the right-seat proficiency, teaching ability, and aeronautical knowledge you’ll need as a working flight instructor.

Your Checkride Is Part of the Plan

Finishing your training only to wait weeks for an examiner defeats the purpose of an accelerated program.

That’s why DPE coordination and checkride planning are part of our scheduling process. We work to coordinate our CFI class bookings and practical tests in advance so your training is built toward a defined completion point.

Train Here. Get Hired Here. Build Your Career Here.

For many pilots, becoming a CFI represents their first professional flying job.

And at Take Flight, your opportunity doesn’t necessarily end when you pass your checkride.

Qualified graduates of our CFI program are eligible to be hired directly into flight instructor positions at Take Flight Aviation.

This creates a unique opportunity to train in the same environment where you may begin your professional flying career. You’ll already be familiar with our aircraft, procedures, training philosophy, and expectations before you teach your first student.

Our instructors then have the opportunity to build valuable flight time and professional experience. Many have gone on to airline, corporate, charter, and other professional flying careers, while others have advanced within Take Flight into leadership and check-airman roles.

Fall Is a Great Time to Get Started
