Take Flight Aviation now offers FINANCING for full time students training to become Professional Pilots.
The biggest impediment to becoming a Professional Pilot for most people we speak to is being able to obtain reasonable financing.
Take Flight Aviation has a wonderful and very unique opportunity that helps qualified clients obtain financing to become Professional Pilots and upon successful graduation, guarantees them their first flying job as a Certified Flight Instructor with Take Flight Aviation.
This program is available only to US Citizens, age 18 and older, who are enrolling for FULL TIME training in our comprehensive Professional Pilot Training Program or are those who are currently enrolled in the Professional Pilot Training Program. Full time is defined as committing to fly a minimum of 4 days per week, two times per day for the duration of your training.
The Professional Pilot Training Program provides the following Airplane Pilot Licenses and Ratings:
- Private Pilot
- Instrument Pilot
- Commercial Single Engine
- Commercial Multi Engine Add On
- CFI (Certified Flight Instructor)
- CFII (Certified Flight Instructor – Instrument)
- MEI (Multi Engine Instructor)
Students enrolled in the Professional Pilot Training Program can finance the entire program, or if you are already enrolled in the program, you can apply for financing to complete the portions of the program remaining.
The students will have no monthly payment until they have completed the Instructor phase. They will then be required to make a $150 minimum payment for up to 18 months while employed as a full time flight instructor at Take Flight Aviation until they are employed with an airline. They will have a 3-month grace period from the start date of their employment with the airline before the full principal and interest payments begin.
Ready to get started?
Step One: Apply for pre-approval through the company financing the training: https://apply.meritize.com/
Step Two: If you are successful in the pre-approval process, Take Flight Aviation will send you a questionnaire to fill out. We ask that you submit your resume with the questionnaire and return it to Take Flight for review.
Step Three: Upon successful review of your questionnaire and resume in conjunction with the terms of your preapproval from Meritize, Take Flight Aviation may invite you in for an in person interview. The Interview is designed to verify that your interests and mindset is a good fit for both the training program and for later employment with Take Flight Aviation.
Remember – we too are invested in your training and don’t fully get compensated for your training until you are well into your career as an airline pilot. We need to ensure you possess that “stick to it” attitude and base skill sets required for the training and the job! We are looking for dedicated and capable people. Simply being preapproved is no guarantee of acceptance into the program.
Step Four: If you pass through the Meritize approval process and the Take Flight Aviation Interview and have no prior flight experience, you will be required to complete a Take Flight Aviation Introductory Flight lesson. This lesson ensures that the realities of flight training are aligned with your perception of the process. The cost of the lesson is borne by the client, but is very inexpensive. You can learn more and see pricing options here: https://www.takeflightoc.com/gift-certificates/ You are welcome to complete the Introductory Flight prior to this step if you wish.
Step Five: Obtain your FAA First Class Medical. All clients in the Take Flight Aviation Professional Pilot Training Program must obtain and retain a first class medical for the duration of their training and employment at Take Flight Aviation. You can learn more about this process here: https://www.faa.gov/pilots/become/medical/
Step Six: If you are accepted into the training program, expect to commit to training twice a day at least 4 days per week for a period of approximately 10 months. The training requires a dedication to at home study much like a university level course of studies, as well as intensive flight training. Be sure that you have the means to support yourself financially during this period while having ample time to dedicate to your studies.
Step Seven: Upon successful completion of the training, you will begin working full time with pay as a Certified Flight Instructor at Take Flight Aviation. In this capacity you will be working as a professional pilot, building not only hours toward the 1500 hours you need to become an Airline Transport Rated pilot qualified for your first airline job, but also building the next generation of pilots along the way. You will share all the material that is fresh in your mind while refining your skills to a razors edge.
Step Eight: As you close in on 1500 hours, which takes roughly 1.5 years working as a Flight Instructor, you’ll select the regional airlines you would like to work for and start applying to them. With hiring at the regionals happening in record numbers and predicted to become even better, you’ll quickly find yourself in training to fly a passenger jet airliner based at some of the nation’s busiest airports earning wages that are at a record high in that segment of the industry.
Please note that since Take Flight Aviation is interviewing you not only for acceptance into the program, but also to work as a staff member upon graduation, you are required to undergo routine company drug testing and background checks.
If you are qualified and committed to a career as a Professional Pilot, Take Flight Aviation is ready, willing and able to get you there….and now can help you finance your dream of flight!
